Starting next week, the office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME) will hold public meetings to update the public on the Master Facilities Plan (MFP):
Tuesday, October 9th, 6:30 PM
Roosevelt High School
4301 13th St NW
Thursday, October 11th, 6:30 PM
Woodridge Neighborhood Library
1801 Hamlin St NE
Saturday, October 13th, 10:00 AM
Kramer Middle School
1700 Q St SE
Here and here, for instance, is what I received thus far on my FOIA request from June (yeah, that sunny month of early summer) on how a private organization, PAVE, is connected to the DME’s office for this and other work. The responses provided here (which are still (!) not complete and in process) are not exactly illuminating–though we learn that the DME’s office reached out to PAVE in April about getting feedback on the MFP in summer.
I also submitted a FOIA request to the office of contracting and procurement for the request for quotes that the DME’s office apparently gave for the MFP feedback contract–as well as for the actual contract itself.
(Thus far, nothing. Well, except my appeal.)
