A coalition of ward education councils and stakeholders from across the city has crafted a document addressed to the mayor and city council that demands transparency in the selection of the DCPS chancellor as well as the deputy mayor for education (DME). The document asks for a meeting with the mayor on her selection of these two key education leaders and that teachers, parents, and students are included in their selection.
The document also outlines of a path forward for better schools and a stronger DCPS.
