If you need a reason to smile about the future, keep reading:
Yesterday, at the Lincoln Memorial, students from DCPS’s Watkins Elementary recited from memory Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have a Dream speech. Yesterday marked Dr. King’s 87th birthday.
This recitation by Watkins students has been an annual event by the school for more than a decade–and for all that time, and for the thousands who have participated since its inception, happiness and hope for the future were abundant.
Hope you enjoy the beauty of this event and of our DC public school students (and their singing principal!).
